FAQs
You will typically receive your results within 72 hours of receiving your sample at the lab. However, delays may occur due to postal delays and shipping close to the weekend. For a faster process, we recommend submitting your samples at the beginning of the week (Monday and Tuesday).
Depending on the test set, the following pathogens are tested:
HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis C, mycoplasmas, trichomonads and many more – you can find the exact list on the product page.
Our test kits differ between “biologically male” and “biologically female” because certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can be detected with varying degrees of reliability depending on physical anatomy.
Biologically male
This kit is designed for individuals with a biologically male body. In individuals with a penis, some STIs are best detected via a urine sample. Therefore, the kit contains the appropriate materials for safe and easy use.
Biologically female
This kit is designed for individuals with a biologically female body. For individuals with a vagina, uterus, and/or cervix, swabs or special urine samples are often required to reliably detect STIs. The kit therefore contains everything needed for this – discreet, safe, and easy to use.
An STI test can be useful or even important in many situations – for example in these cases:
✓ You are starting a new relationship and want to avoid using condoms
✓ You have changing sexual partners or live in an open relationship
✓ You have symptoms or are simply unsure
✓ There was unprotected sex or other risky contact
✓ Your partner has tested positive for an STI
✓ You have a medical recommendation or would like to have a general health check
✓ You use PrEP (HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis)
✓ You are planning a pregnancy or using an IUD for contraception
Regular testing not only helps you, but also your partners – for more security and trust.
